Encoded sequences with SP and SI frames
This websites provides encodings of several standard video test sequences with SP and SI frames. As these frames are not easy to generate, we hope to promote the use of SP and SI frames by making it easier for researchers in the video community to have access to these types of sequences.

The sequences were encoded by our freely available SP frame encoder. The following files are available for download:
- original file
- H.264 output file for the sequence with periodic SP frames
- H.264 output file for the sequence with periodic SI frames
- The encoded file in YUV format (this file is identical whether SP or SI frames are encoded)
- RD preamble (array of doubles indicating the distortion values, i.e. PSNR in dB, obtained when concealing a frame with another frame of the sequence).

At the bottom of this page, I have also included a simple video player, written in C, which works under Linux.

Linux yuv video player

Here is the code for a simple yuv linux viewer for raw data rate video sequences. It uses the glut-3.7 library. You may find the following webpage useful to make the library under linux. It works for qcif and cif sequences. Click here for the userguide on how to make and run the viewer.
