I received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University in September 2007. For my doctoral dissertation, I applied concepts from distributed source coding to robust video transmission. This research was carried out under the guidance of Prof. Bernd Girod. Since graduation, I am at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL) where I am investigating novel applications of distributed source coding.
I have a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Minnesota and a B.E degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Pune University (India).
